Non Violence: Doesn’t it imply 'No Verbal Violence'?

Non-Violence must also be practiced while talking. "Verbal violence is more dangerous than physical, …" Anna Hazare himself stated, something like that, while addressing his followers in Ramlila Maidan, didn't he? It seems he can't stick to it, can he?

How could he be so insensitive?
Apart from saying many nasty things about our elected representatives, he doesn't even seem to spare his supporters.

Lakhs or perhaps crores of people, men & women, old & young, even children, were sporting those 'I'am Anna caps', just to show their support for him. In his concluding speech he says and I quote "One won't become Anna just by wearing those caps …"

Imparting Values or Insensitive Arrogance?
This could be seen by some of his blind supporters, rather his devotees, as a noble act of imparting values.
But actually what we sense behind those words is the height of arrogance, pride and insensivity towards the feelings and the excitement of those people who are worshiping him as a hero.

Q. Why did this unfortunate trend of Verbal-Violence start in India, while we keep preaching Non-Violence?
